- What is this site?

It gradually learns about what you like, your favorite restaurants, the people you eat with, and stuff like that. As you tell it more about what you liked and didn't like, it will get better and better! Whether you simply want to remind yourself of your favorite places to eat or want to make elaborate plans with your friends to try a new place, Lets.dolun.ch will make you view your lunch time in a whole new way.
- What isn't this site?
Lets.dolun.ch is not a review site, it's something very different from that. It's a website dedicated to giving you, the user, customized suggestions on lunch. It's an organizational tool for setting up lunches with friends and co-workers. And it's a place to journal on your lunch and keep track of the places you love to go. We wanted to stay focused on our goal and provide you with the best experience possible. There are plenty of restaurant review sites out there that do a good job. We're happy to link to them to give you an overview of a restaurant you are researching.
- So how does it work?
Well, first you need to sign up with the site. After a short quiz, Lets.dolun.ch will start to get to know your eating preferences and advise you on the perfect place to have lunch. The more information you provide, the better your recommendations become. Then, report back on your lunch outings for more customized lunch searches.
Best of all, you can add your friends, family and co-workers to set up simple and organized lunch dates! Whether it's a weekend brunch with friends or a downtown lunch meeting with co-workers, Lets.dolun.ch makes it easier for everyone to stay informed.
- Can't I just search for things?
Well, yes and no.
Lets.dolun.ch is not just a search site for lunches. It's also a lunch organizational tool. So once you sign up, you can search for a restaurant, style of food, or particular item you want and then set up a lunch. So yes, as a registered user at Lets.dolun.ch you can search for new places to eat, find the ones you already enjoy and report on ones you have just tried.
However, there are no anonymous searches. With Lets.dolunch's functionality, there is no point to search aimlessly for restaurants. Lets.dolun.ch would learn nothing about you and would not be able to give you customized recommendations.
- Do I have to sign up?
To set up lunches and report back on them, yes, you need to sign up as a Lets.dolun.ch user. This is so we can provide personalized recommendations and allow you to fully experience what this site has to offer. However, to simply attend lunches or be part of groups, you don't have to sign up.
- Do my friends have to sign up for me to invite them out?
Nope.
You can add anyone as a participant to a lunch date but that doesn't mean they are signed up. It simply means they will receive information on that particular lunch date that you want them to have, like date and time changes. It does give them an opportunity to join the site and will even have the history you helped them establish! But it's not mandatory for Lets.dolun.ch to function as an organizational tool.
- What is a "report"?
Lunch reports are a key piece to getting the most from Lets.dolun.ch. By reporting back on your lunches you are essentially keeping a journal of your lunchtime experiences. Now, as I said before, it's not a review site. So there is no need to write up anything. Just a mouse click about the aspects of your lunch that were important to you.
Lets.dolun.ch has a wide variety of lunch aspects you can report back on. If you are only concerned with a few key points, like value, payment types, and outside dining, well you don't have to report on any other aspects. Lets.dolun.ch will learn from your reports what you care about in a good lunch experience. And it will use that information to provide you with lunch suggestions that match your unique criteria. The more information you provide, the better the results will be!
- Do I always have to report on a lunch?
Reporting on a lunch is very beneficial to your lunch suggestions, but you are never required to report on a lunch. Lets.dolun.ch uses your reports to customize suggestions on new places for lunch that match your personality. So the more lunches you report on, the more precise your suggestions will be. And reporting on your lunches is very simple. You pick the categories that are important to you. No writing is necessary. Just a few clicks and you're done. And if you are worried you might forget, you can set preferences on the site to remind you to report back on your lunch.
